Helping East New York One Family At a Time

United Community Centers (UCC) has always worked to improve the lives of East New Yorkers through activism and provision of services. Over the last 10 years, our services and programs have expanded to better meet the ever-changing needs of our diverse community.

For many residents, UCC is their 1 source for free assistance with immigration services, nutrition and health issues like asthma and HIV/AIDS, and extracurricular activities that our local public schools don’t offer.

Our 2 largest programs, MLE Learning Center and East New York Farms!, are essential to the sustainability of our community:

The Morris L. Eisenstein (MLE) Learning Center is a daycare program that provides a nurturing, safe educational environment for children as young as 2 years old. It also operates an after school program for children 5 through 10 years old. Click here to find out more.

East New York Farms! brings together local teens and longtime residents in a nationally-recognized urban agricultural project. ENYF! trains youth and local gardeners to grow produce using sustainable methods, and provides low cost, nutritious alternatives to the overpriced and non-nutritious packaged foods from local convenience stores through a weekly seasonal farmers market.
